Ideologies

Snow white-  That having men in your life won't lead to happiness until the man and woman are married, before this, the movie snow white shows snow white being a shy woman with something significant missing in her life, we later find out that this was a man.

Cinderella- This film shows that women are shy characters and who dream about love and need a man to rescue them.

James bond- This film gives people the idea that all British people are posh.

This is the best picture because it is fun and the most clear image for this, even though you can not clearly see two of my actors faces, it will fit in with my double page spread because it is fun and still different from my front cover. I think it shows a variety of attitudes and also shows personality through a shot.

final pick- 

Even though i have one final choice, a contents page should have a variation of pictures, so when making my magazine i may add a variation,  this picture is the most clear and makes it look fun as they are laughing and also the body language of my actors makes the picture look more relaxed, it shows that there is a different side to this 'girl band', in comparison to the front cover. The props in this are a speaker, which keeps on the topic of music, while looking natural. This shot also has a plain, simple background so that the attention is not taken away from my three actors.

final pick- 

i have chosen this picture for my front cover because it matches the attitude i am trying to portray to the audience. i think my target audience will be drawn to this because many pop music magazines show people who they aspire to be, using this picture, my target audience of teen girls, they will familiarise  with the clothing that is also worn. The angle for this shoot is very straight on using the tripod, this is also the only picture they all actors are looking at the camera, and portrays the attitude i was trying to get across. My target audience is teenage girls, but i think some of the older audience may be attracted to my magazine if this was the front cover. The reason i didn't use props for any of my shoots is so that the attention is on the actors.

taking my pictures

When i took my pictures i made sure that there was a variety of camera angles and different poses from the actors. I stuck to my costume but added in that the actors should be wearing heels. i used the hall for my location even though i chose many different props in my shoot.

i used the tripod for my pictures,

 this helped me make my images clear because it helped me keep the camera still.

permission hunting

Before my shoot i made sure that the location i wanted would be free, by doing this i went to find the caretaker to make sure that the hall would be open for me to take my shoot on the day. This then avoided me from having no where to do my shoot because i had gotten permission to use the hall for about an hour. I also went to plan when the camera was available on the day, when i got the times i could both use the camera and use the hall, i was then able to update my actors to make sure they were ready on time.

Examples of pictures

From last monday i have been planning my photo shoot in more detail, adding in exactly what my actors will be wearing and where my pictures will be taken.

On thursday 21st i will be taking my pictures in the hall, making sure i take a variety of pictures so they will be suitable for my front cover, contents page and double page spread. My actors will be standing in front of a blank wall so i am able to take the background out and add in the colour i want.

These are just a few practice shots that where took today for my shoot, i will be looking through my images and deciding what will fir best on my front cover, contents page and double page spread.

Starring in other peoples magazines

This is when i starred in Kates and Rachels rock music magazine, i wore dark colours so it fitted in to there theme, all pictures where taken for the whole of the magazine and there were a selection of different locations. My makeup for this shoot was dark eyes so that it looked more dramatic.

Planning makeup and hair

When me and my actors met up, i told them the type of makeup i want then to have for my shoot, i want it to be subtle but girly because that is the look i am going for. We also talked about hair, i didn't want anything too dramatic because then that would take away the attention from the models and magazine. Some examples of this is,

Planning location

This is when i told my actors the exact final location and time to meet on the day of my shoot, by doing this i will be able to get more time taking my pictures other than rushing round trying to find them.

Planning clothing

On the 9th january me and my actors met up and discussed in detail what the clothing i want my actors to be wearing for my shoot. By the end of this everyone had a clear idea of the clothing  want them to have on the day.
